At Buckner Villas, we know the many challenges facing families who are coping with memory-related impairments. It’s why we developed The Harbor, our certified Alzheimer’s Assisted Living Community.

At The Harbor, our goal is to offer residents a higher quality of life through a higher level of memory care. In a protected setting specifically designed to minimize confusion and enhance safety without sacrificing the comforts of home, our specially trained staff offers caring assistance with sensitivity and empathy. A dietician provides balanced meals for individual needs. Family visits are always encouraged and welcome. And we stay abreast of the latest thinking and newest developments in memory care, to ensure an environment that fosters dignity and self-respect.

At The Harbor, the serene privacy of our private suites is complemented by common areas that invite companionship. A varied activity program encompasses arts and crafts, pet therapy, Bible study, memory games and exercises to promote social interaction and help residents boost their self-esteem – while having fun. There’s even a specially designed, secured courtyard and gardens that invites each resident to safely enjoy the outdoors.

Comfortable private suites and secured courtyards, dining areas and more have all been incorporated to give The Harbor a welcoming feel, while providing the utmost in security and safety.

Even though we are currently capable of caring for memory- impaired elders, you will be please to know that part of the new campus expansion, will include a new Harbor residence. The newly built Harbor will be located near the current Campbell Center, our skilled nursing community. The new Harbor setting will be a new innovative state-of-the art design that allows for a more elder-centered environment. Floor plans will be available soon.
